I bought some kale at the grocery the other day. And after I got it home and was washing it, I discovered the little tag attached.
Cute tag, eh? But then I turned it over…..
And look at the other side! See where it’s from? Made this li’l ol’ Texas gal’s heart sing. And I was amazed that it wasn’t at all wilted. That’s a fir piece it came to git here all the way to Canada.
Sometimes it’s just the little things…… like washing machines and kale from Texas.
Hugs,
Barb
P.S. I also bought a bag of beans and laughed at the bag. It said to “furiously boil the beans for 10 minutes, uncovered.” Made me wonder if the French was written first and that was someone’s translation of “rapid boil.” Don’t know that I’ve ever furiously boiled beans before.
How much fun that you found some produce from home!
I think that was a God-hug, sending you that Kale! Via Texas!
Hmmmmm…somehow when I think of the French coming to Texas —-how “foreign” would be the Republic of Texas!!!
It IS wonderful to eat USA grown food!
Maybe you have to slap the beans around a little first to get really furious. I don’t know. Some beans have made me mad, but furious? Wow! Seriously, there’s no place like home is there? Sounds like you are having a good time.
