Seems that’s all I’ve done this last week. Well, except for the day at Susan’s stuffing myself with good food. I’m still full, by the way. But I’ve also spent lots of extra time at work filling in for a few gals who had some time off. However, when this is what work looks like:
And this is what greets you as you walk in the door:
All of a sudden work, work, work is more like fun, fun, FUN!
Look at all that fabric…… a quilter’s paradise, for sure!
Isn’t it wonderful? Because for a quilter, if you can’t be stitching on your own quilts, the next best thing is helping someone else plan theirs. And since that involves cutting and touching fabric all day, going to work is pretty much paradise for a quilter who works in a quilt shop.
One of my friends emailed me yesterday morning that she was going to “clean the garage and put up some fencing around pool equipment.” It was 145 degrees out there! And I ONLY got to work in an air conditioned shop, cutting and folding and petting fabric all day. And getting paid to boot! Ahhhhhh, I’m the luckiest person on earth.
And this afternoon I have the privilege of chaining myself to the sewing machine. And sewing the hours away. What a life I have! I’m certain that there will be updates for all you blog readers. Life is good. And I am blessed.
May all your days be filled with fabric and fun………even if some people call it work.
Hugs,
Barb
Loved the blog…but then, I guess I love all of them! Sure makes me want to spend the day petting fabric in my sewing room. However, when I’m at Quilter’s Dream I want to ROLL in it….you know, like a dog in grass or a cat with catnip. Happy stitching, Barb!
I CANNOT believe that I was the first to post a reply to your blog. My, my, wonders never cease!!! Maybe there’s hope for me after all.
You are such a good little worker bee, making the most of a great situation! You add so much fun to my working day. I’ll see you on Tuesday 🙂
I can hear your sewing machine buzzing from here! Think I’ll do the same! Have fun with your stash…and Boo can enjoy napping on it. 😉
