Suz made some cute nine patch blocks at retreat recently. And we got a few of us together and made a video to show you the handy dandy way she did them. A new technique for making them that was very cool.
Remember these cute little blocks?
Now you can make them too! Here’s the video to show you how……
Enjoy!
Barb
Barb, U are TOO good! Now the blog shows that JSSers are not all-about fun, games and food….. We just happen to have fun, games and food while we are all learning more and more about quilting! Just Sayin……!!!!!!
GREAT VIDEO GALS!!!!
O – the PROPS are GREAT!
SUZ’s sewing station has EVERYthing!!!! NO wonder she never was away from her station!!! I see those juggling balls! I see that Bug-eye-perspector! I saw that lime-green screen driver before it disappeared from the video screen! O yes, there was a machine, iron, etc too!!!!
Hee Hee *#{%%*grins!!!!!
Wow and wow, what fun this video is. Barb, you are so creative and Karen (Wendy) is just a GREAT, well, whatever she is called. And love the finger nails. SOOO photographic!!!!!!!!! Good job ladies and what fun to hear the chatter in the background and hearing the machine humming away. We did have a GREAT time.
Missing our JSS ladies. But Ky. Linda and I are off to Hilton Head for a week of sewing and fun, then on to Pine Mountain State Park for our semi-annual quilting retreat with about 50 fun ladies. Happy quilting and be joyful!!!!!!!!!!!
The crew did a great job.
Loved the video! And so amazing that you can blog AND be in Houston! 🙂
How clever! I’m pushing aside my ‘to do’ list and sneaking off to make nine patches! Thanks so much!
Loved the ‘award winning’ show and a cool technique…………………you all are Rock Stars!!!
Suz, I love your technique–that was fun to watch! Karen, the cuts and takes (esp. with the Ott lamp) were priceless! 🙂
I am so rolling on the floor. I LOVED the video tutorial!!! Hollywood is a poorer place without Karen there to direct and I think there’s a TV show in Suz’s future. And, of course she’ll demand that her own people should do the filming so Barb will have to clear her schedule and we can all be in the audience….with a HandiQuilter in the background!!! How’s that for a plan???
I love the video! What a great way to do 9 patches. Thanks…
Very clever! All the giggles at the beginning were the best part though. I also love the workstation set up – I have to stand & cross the room to iron at the moment, so you’ve given me a great idea for efficiency. Less exercise, but faster production! Thanks for the video – you gals are great!
Love the 9 patch technique and the video
I appreciate the video and now get it. It just seemed so slight of hand at first. I was having a hard time focusing on what was actually happening, maybe it was suz’s hands. They did photograph well.
What fun we all had.
Thank you for sharing! This video was oh so funny and interesting, I will surely try this technique because I always make so many mistakes with 9-patch block
Hugs by Kiotta
I finally had a chance to watch this video tonight, AFTER I made 20 blocks!! Sure wish I had known which way to iron the seams but now I know for the next 20!!
Thanks Barb, and crew!
