The winner has been drawn. Totally random. Unorchestrated in any way. Boo helped. I decided from the very beginning that I didn’t want to influence the results. One click on the Random Number Generator and what ever happens, happens. Thus the help from Boo.
He had a little trouble focusing on the job at hand…..
Just slightly distracted……
That’s it Boo….. the mouse. Just focus on the mouse and click the button.
Yes! The mouse right there, Boo. Just focus and click the button, please. Use your paw…. you can do it……
Success! Good job, Boo! Isn’t his little nose just the cutest?
And the results are…….
Yeah, Number 5!!!! I tried to “get the widget” to display on the blog, but spent way too many hours trying to figure it out. Finally gave up and just decided to photograph the computer screen. Some things aren’t worth hours over. But oh, yeah. I’d already spent hours.
Oh, you want to know who Number 5 is? Well, you could go back to the posting about Sally’s apron quilt and figure out who left the 5th comment, I suppose. Oh, phooey. I’ll just tell ya. It’s Susan! Susan wrote that she “needs Sally’s pattern because her daughter is getting married, because her house never got finished, because it’s too hot and her flowers are all wilting, because she didn’t sleep well last night, because she hates changing cat litter and because her Grandmother never wore an apron.” Now that’s a lot of reasons to need a pattern! When she got my email telling her that she won, she wrote back “No no no no no no way!” and then “I am screeeeeeaming!” I think she was a little excited. Then she went through the whole, I’m undeserving of winning, yada, yada, yada. That others wrote really cool apron stories and she wanted them to win, etc. But it’s random…. the winner was not based on their story – in fact the rules stated that you didn’t even have to do a story! So Susan is the winner! And I know she will enjoy having Sally’s pattern.
By the way , I had so much fun reading all the great apron stories. We absolutely must do this again. And it gave me the chance to reconnect with an old (from grade school) friend too! I had no idea she was reading. Those are the kinds of things that keep me motivated to write. So keep those comments coming in between giveaways too. It energizes me and makes my day every time.
If you’d like to buy one of Sally’s patterns, you can easily do it from Quilter’s Dream. Just go to www.quiltersdreamtx.com and send an email via the “contact us” tab saying you want Sally’s pattern. They will be happy to mail one to you. I should also tell you that this Fall, Sally will be teaching this pattern at the shop. As well as a few others. If you live in the DFW area and love this pattern, I highly recommend taking this class with Sally! You will make new friends and have a great quilt at the end. The new class schedule for the Fall comes out at the shop on Monday and will be on-line in about a week.
If you don’t like the results of the giveaway, blame Boo. He’s a big cat and can take the heat. Next time maybe we’ll let Miss Kitty push the button.
But right now she’s too busy languishing in the shade to be bothered.
Congratulations, Susan!
Barb
I am thrilled that Susan won! (If it could not be me, of course.)
Susan will have the quilt whipped out in 2 shakes of Boo’s tail!
Love the picture of Miss Kitty.
Boo is one smart cat! Winner choice solution very CLEVER!
Wooooohoooooo Susan! I love for you to win anything anytime. Wasn’t that a fun contest!
Okay, Boo, you know I love you, but this is ridiculus! RIGGING the contest so I would win? Your mom TOLD you not to do that! 😉
